6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Clay Holmes will make his first start in the majors Wednesday when he toes the rubber in Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers. He has a whopping four innings pitched in the majors. He gave up one run on two hits and has two strikeouts in two appearances. In Holmes' last four starts at Triple-A, he went 4-0 with a 0.89 ERA. He gave up five free passes and struck out 20 batters. Holmes probably won't be long for the game on Wednesday on the road in L.A., and he makes for an extremely risky streamer with the way the Dodgers have been swinging it.--Aaron
