Clay Holmes Notches Fifth Save Of Season Tuesday
7 months agoNew York Yankees closer Clay Holmes picked up his fifth save of the season in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Marlins. Holmes came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by one and delivered a 1-2-3 outing with a strikeout. The 31-year-old has converted all but one of his save opportunities and has yet to allow an earned run or a walk in six innings pitched. He uncharacteristically only has three strikeouts in that time, but fantasy managers will take the overall results from the closer on one of baseball's hottest teams.
