Clay Holmes Implodes, Takes Loss
1 year agoNew York Yankees closer Clay Holmes gave up five runs, four earned, in 1/3 inning on Sunday against the Miami Marlins and was saddled with the loss. The right-hander gave up three hits and a walk on the day as he fell to 4-3 on the season. Holmes had been pitching well for most of the season and this dreadful performance came in a non-save situation, but it won't matter to fantasy managers counting on him.
