Clay Holmes Earns 22nd Save Of Season Monday
1 year agoNew York Yankees closer Clay Holmes picked up his 22nd save of the season in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks. Holmes entered the game to pitch the top of the ninth up by two and turned in a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. While his role and performance have fluctuated at times throughout the season, Holmes has pitched well overall, converting all but three save opportunities with a 2.95 ERA and 10.18 K/9 rate. Hopefully, he will be able to help fantasy managers out a bit more in the final week of the season.
