Clay Holmes Earns 10th Save Of Season Monday
1 year agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Clay Holmes picked up his 10th save of the season in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles. Holmes came in to pitch the top of the ninth up by three and turned in a 1-2-3 outing with two strikeouts. The 30-year-old had a rough patch earlier in the season but seems to be slowly regaining control of the closer's role for the Yankees. He has now converted 10 of 12 save opportunities with a 2.36 ERA and 11.27 K/9 rate in 34 1/3 innings pitched. Hopefully, for fantasy managers, he can continue to trend in the right direction.
