11 months agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback C.J. Beathard faces the Carolina Panthers in a Week 17 matchup. QB1 Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) has been dealing with a new injury every week it seems, and was ruled out on Friday giving Beathard the start. While the career backup has filled in admirably thus far when Lawrence was forced out of games, the matchup this week is one of the least favorable for opposing quarterbacks. Carolina ranks 3rd against the position in fantasy points and passing yards allowed, and tied for fourth in touchdowns conceded. The Panthers have one of the weakest run defenses in the game which likely means a heavy dose of Travis Etienne, putting Beathard squarely off the fantasy radar this Sunday.--Ryan J. Goodman
