2 years agoFormer heavyweight interim champion Ciryl Gane, a year removed from headlining the UFC's first-ever French card, will once again fight in a main event in Paris this weekend against Sergey Spivak. In his last outing in the UFC, Gane was submitted in the very first round by the returning Jon Jones, who had just moved up into the heavyweight division. While there's no shame in losing to arguably the greatest fighter of all time, Gane was extremely underwhelming and was beaten far too easily. DraftKings sees Gane as the favorite with a salary of $8,700. Throughout his UFC career of 10 bouts, he averages 78.0 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

4 months agoA month after the postponement of the fight, Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov are set to clash on Saturday on the main card of UFC 310. Gane and Volkov faced off in a five-round fight back in 2021 at UFC Vegas 30 where Gane defeated Volkov by a unanimous decision. In his last bout, Gane got back in the win column by defeating Serghei Spivac via second-round TKO. DraftKings has Gane as the favorite at a salary of $9,000. While in his UFC career, he's averaging 81.3 fantasy points per fight.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

2 years agoIn front of a hometown crowd at the Accor Arena in Paris, Ciryl Gane put together a sensational striking display and much-improved takedown defense to defeat Sergey Spivak via second-round TKO in the UFC Fight Night 226 main event on Saturday. This was a much-needed win for Gane, as he suffered a humiliating defeat in his last fight against Jon Jones via guillotine-choke submission in the first round of a heavyweight title fight at UFC 285. In 8:44 of action, Gane landed 109 significant strikes compared to Spivak, who only landed 11. With the win, Gane improved his record to 12-2.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

2 years agoWith a chance to add a vacant championship crown to a previously held interim title position, Ciryl Gane faced the opponent of a lifetime in Jon Jones on Saturday. The matchup did not go as planned at all for Gane, falling victim to a guillotine choke just 2:04 into the fight. Gane has now lost two of his last three contests and might find himself at the end of the heavyweight contenders line.--Matt Bricker

2 years agoWith another chance to claim the UFC heavyweight championship, Ciryl Gane (11-1) will battle GOAT contender Jon Jones for the division's vacant title on Saturday. Previously an interim title holder, Gane's only setback in the Octagon has come by way of decision loss to former champion Francis Ngannou. A dangerous striker, eight of his 11 career wins have come by way of finish, and he is always displaying dominant and controlled striking. DraftKings has Gane as the underdog, though, with a salary of $7,800. Throughout his UFC career (nine bouts), he is averaging 86.4 fantasy points per contest.--Matt Bricker
