Chuma Okeke Fills Up The Box Score In Losing Effort
4 years agoOrlando Magic forward Chuma Okeke put together another solid all-around effort in a 119-109 loss to the Nuggets Sunday. Okeke tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two three-pointers, a pair of steals, and a blocked shot in a season-high 39 minutes. The 22-year-old is getting all the minutes he can handle in Orlando's new-look frontcourt- as he's averaging 32.8 per contest since the trade of Aaron Gordon. Okeke has scored 14-plus points in six of his last seven contests, along with a variety of different defensive statistics to boot. He'll get a Wednesday matchup against the Wizards, who have been a strong defensive team against power forwards this year. Still, Okeke has proven himself as a trustworthy option over the last several games.
