Chuckie Robinson Sent To Triple-A Salt Lake
2 days agoThe Los Angeles Angels have assigned catcher Chuckie Robinson to Triple-A Salt Lake. Robinson was competing for a depth role on the MLB roster but fell short during camp. In spring training, Robinson posted a .160/.382/.200 slash line with a 7:5 BB:K. The 30-year-old appeared in just 26 MLB contests last season with the White Sox and held a .129/.197/.129 slash line with no extra-base hits. He has spent the better part of the last three seasons playing at the Triple-A level. Last season, Robinson posted a .246/.292/.382 slash line at Triple-A, which was well below his career .272/.330/.423 line. With Robinson opening the campaign at the top level of the minor leagues, fantasy managers should expect Logan O'Hoppe and Travis d'Arnaud to see all of the work behind the dish.
