Chuba Hubbard Lone Bright Spot In Panthers’ Blowout Loss To Commanders
1 month agoDespite a 33-point loss to the Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard ground out a respectable performance, rushing 17 times for 52 yards and a touchdown. Hubbard accounted for the team's sole touchdown—a four-yard scamper that capped one of just two Carolina drives with multiple first downs. His 17 carries matched his usual workload, but his 3.1 yards per carry were his lowest since Week 1. Unfortunately, Hubbard wasn't targeted in the passing game. He remains a mid-range RB2 with Jonathon Brooks (knee) out, but the overall dysfunction of Carolina's offense raises concerns about his scoring opportunities going forward. Hubbard will look to build on Sunday's performance in a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
