3 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard will likely be the team's backup behind Christian McCaffrey. Hubbard is one of three backs currently on the 53-man roster, including McCaffrey and Trenton Cannon, as the team parted ways with Reggie Bonnafon and Rodney Smith. The rookie is listed as the second-stringer on the depth chart, a role that will give him almost no fantasy value so long as McCaffrey is healthy- though Hubbard has appeal as both a redraft league insurance policy, as well as a keeper league option. A fourth-round pick, Hubbard's 2020 season was cut short by an ankle injury, but he exploded for 2,094 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns for the Oklahoma State Cowboys back in 2019.--Tim Capurso
