Christopher Bell Springs Up for Second Place at Road America
3 years agoIt was believed that Christopher Bell could do well at Road America. He had a winning pedigree with different racing cars on the track. He did not disappoint as the Joe Gibbs Racing driver surged into second place late after an impressive passing of Kyle Busch. The top four finishers at Road America on Sunday all started from 13th place or worse. Bell ended up 5.7 seconds behind winner Chase Elliott but 4.1 seconds ahead of Kyle Busch. If he had maybe 5-10 more laps, Bell might have had a shot at Elliott. Either way, the second-place result was a pleasant surprise.
