Christopher Bell Bumps His Way To Fourth-Place Finish
2 years agoChristopher Bell and his Joe Gibbs Racing car were quick all day. The No. 20 car added 12 stage points and nearly edged out Denny Hamlin for the Stage 2 win. However, it is what happened late which frustrated Bell. He dive bombed trying to get better position and took out William Byron. It knocked Byron out of the race. Bell went on to finish fourth and felt bad about the mishap. Bell was one of four Toyota's who combined to lead 154 laps during the middle of the race. He was the only driver to finish in the top eight. Ty Gibbs ended up ninth and Martin Truex Jr. was 11th.
