Christopher Bell Avoids Wrecks to Finish Third
3 months agoChristopher Bell finished third at Daytona for the third time in the last four races in Saturday night's race, but unlike his previous third-place finishes in the 2023 and 2024 Daytona 500s, he wasn't much of a factor in the race as he and surprisingly the entire Joe Gibbs Racing team failed to lead a lap. However, the only thing that matters in most recent Daytona races is avoiding the wrecks. Bell actually was minorly involved in both Big Ones but he had minimal damage in both of them. Although he was directly behind leader Kyle Busch on the final restart, he was unable to clear Harrison Burton for second, which effectively boxed him in for the remainder of the overtime restart. Although he failed to win, the finish gave him some positive momentum in the playoffs after crashing out of three of the previous six races.
