Christian Yelich Takes Batting Practice On Tuesday
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) was participating in batting practice on Tuesday, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. McCalvy adds that Yelich was seen hitting home runs into the second deck during batting practice, as manager Craig Counsell said, "He's doing baseball activities, so he's doing everything at this point. All the activities are on the board right now, so that's a good thing. Like I said, we just try to make progress every day and then see how he feels the next day. If everything's going good, we push him again and push him again. We've strung a couple of good days together and we just have to keep building on that." It sounds like Yelich is making some solid progress in rehabbing from a back injury that has limited him to just one game since April 11. Managers should keep watching for further updates, but Yelich could be back with Milwaukee within the next week or two.
