Christian Yelich Slugging Just .300 In September
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has continued to struggle at the plate in September. The 2018 NL MVP has slashed just .250/.302/.300 over 11 games this month. He hasn't homered since August 21, a dry spell that has lasted 20 games. Yelich was a fantasy dream during his first two years in Milwaukee in 2018 and 2019, posting a four-digit OPS both years. However, he's really struggled over the last two years. He slashed .205/.356/.430 in the abbreviated 2020 campaign and he has a .256/.368/.384 slash line this year. There isn't much fantasy managers can do now. In deep leagues and five-outfielder leagues, he's probably still worth starting, but in shallow leagues, he's a drop candidate.
