6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich left Sunday's game against the New York Mets in the fifth inning with lower back discomfort. The reigning National League MVP was 1-for-2 before exiting. Yelich has dealt with back injuries throughout his career, but hopefully, this one is not serious. If the 27-year-old is out for a while, Ben Gamel will see an uptick in playing time. Brewers' manager Craig Counsel said that he doubts Yelich will suit up for Monday's game, but he should avoid a trip to the injured list.
