Christian Wood Scores Career-High 28 Points In Big Win
5 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Christian Wood exploded for a career-high 28 points against the Spurs on Sunday. The game quickly turned into a blowout, which allowed bench guys like Wood to get some extra minutes, and the third-year forward took full advantage of it, shooting 11-for-14 from the field, including 2-for-3 from downtown. He also notched his third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds, adding two assists, one steal, and one block to complete his line. Wood has popped up with good performances here and there this season when he's had some additional minutes in games. The Pistons have a back-to-back set coming up next, which will likely result in Blake Griffin sitting out one of the games. The stage will be set for Wood again if Griffin rests.
