Christian Walker's Bizarre Spring Training Continues
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker is one of the most fascinating prospects for the organization, as fans are hopeful he can fill the void left behind by Paul Goldschmidt. So far this spring, Walker is 14-for-37 while accumulating 11 RBI. Those are fantastic numbers, but the fact that he has 11 strikeouts in those 37 at-bats is a discouraging sign. The 27-year-old posted a ghastly 41.5 percent K-rate in 37 games last season while hitting just .168. That would make one believe that this high spring training average is a fluke and the strikeouts are inevitably going to bring him down this upcoming season.
