Christian Walker Removed From Saturday's Game After HBP
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker (elbow) was removed from Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles after being hit by a pitch in the elbow. He was replaced in the fifth inning by Pavin Smith. Walker went 0-for-1 before exiting. The severity of his elbow injury is unknown at this time, and he is considered day-to-day. The Diamondbacks will provide an update after the game. Walker is having a terrific season in 2023, slashing .270/.347/.523 with 29 home runs, 89 RBI, and eight stolen bases over 132 games. Smith would see an uptick in at-bats and is worth monitoring in deep leagues if Walker were to miss any games.
