7 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva swatted his ninth homer Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. The solo shot in the first inning was his only hit in four at-bats, but he's now tied for second in the National League in home runs. Villanueva has been a godsend for both the Padres and fantasy owners and continues to impress. He's now batting a ridiculous .468, with hit eight of his nine long balls against left-handed pitching. Overall, he's slashing .317/.404/.707 with 16 runs and 20 RBI to go along with the power surge. Villanueva should be owned in all formats and is a must-start against southpaws.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
