Christian Vazquez Powers Red Sox Past Mets
4 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez continued his stretch of success at the plate as he went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two hits and three RBI in Thursday's 4-2 victory against the Mets. Vazquez took starting pitcher Steven Matz deep in the second inning, while adding a two-run home run in the fourth inning off of the left-hander once again. Vazquez is currently tied for the MLB lead with four home runs, along with Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez through the first week of the season. Vazquez posted the best offensive numbers of his career last season, making the Red Sox catcher a must-own catcher across all fantasy formats.
