Christian Scott Tallies Nine Punchouts Across Four Innings In Triple-A Debut
8 months agoNew York Mets pitching prospect Christian Scott tallied an eye-catching nine strikeouts and 19 swings-and-misses in his Triple-A debut on Thursday. Scott was given the start but was on a short leash as he threw just four innings of three-run ball with five hits and no walks. The former fifth-round selection pitched across several levels of the minor leagues last season to the tune of a 2.57 ERA, .86 WHIP, and 107 strikeouts across 87 2/3 innings. The former Florida Gator has elite strikeout upside and could very well force his way into Queens later this summer if he continues to shine in Triple-A.
