3 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) was on the practice field Thursday. McCaffrey was reportedly "very limited" during Wednesday's practice, and he likely would have carried the same designation on Thursday's report, as he was limited to riding a bike and stretching. Head coach Matt Rhule had said that he's "hopeful" for the star halfback to play this week- but seeing as he has yet to be activated off injured reserve, Week 10 seems like a more likely timetable for his return. McCaffrey has endured another disappointing, injury-filled season- but it finally seems like his return is around the corner. The Panthers may seriously consider lessening McCaffrey's workload- though he would remain an elite RB1 given how efficient he is with the touches he sees.--Tim Capurso
