Christian McCaffrey Impresses In Preseason Opener
6 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey looked electric in the Panthers opening preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. He carried for 11 yards on four attempts, including a powerful goal-line touchdown, although he also fumbled the ball. McCaffrey also showcased his pass-catching ability, hauling in two receptions for 29 yards. McCaffrey certainly looks as though he has picked up from his impressive rookie season. While the team signing C.J. Anderson might deter fantasy owners from investing in the second-year back, he certainly has the skill set to shoulder the majority of the work in the backfield. After McCaffrey left the game, Anderson was able to pick up 16 yards and a touchdown on his four carries, adding another 15 yards on his solitary reception. Both backs scored their touchdowns on goal-line carries. Looking forward to the Miami Dolphins matchup, it would be interesting to see if there is a goal-line back that emerges or if it will continue to be split.
