Christian McCaffrey Could Extend Record Streak Sunday
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey will square up with a struggling Cincinnati Bengals run defense on Sunday in Santa Clara. Last week the overall RB1 broke the NFL record for most consecutive games with a touchdown, including playoffs. He finished the game with a solid line of 15 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown on the ground and three receptions on as many targets for 51 yards and another touchdown. Fantasy managers were thrilled to see the production, but just as noteworthy was his continued domination of backfield touches. Backup running backs Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason handled one touch for one negative yard combined. CMC comes into this week as a fully healthy, historically consistent RB1 facing a run defense that ranks fourth-worst in the NFL at 142.8 yards allowed per game.
