Christian McCaffrey Continues To Impress In Preseason
6 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey for the second week in a row looked very impressive, taking the majority of the snaps with the starters and showcasing his talent both on the ground and in the air. On his second touch of the game, McCaffrey broke off a long run of 71 yards, taking the ball to the end zone to score a touchdown, before ultimately ending the game with 92 yards and a touchdown on five carries. McCaffrey showcased his ability in the air with 28 yards from four receptions.
C.J. Anderson took to the field at the end of the second quarter and finished the game with the most amount of carries on the team, taking his eight carries for 39 yards while adding just another nine yards on two receptions. Anderson had around one quarter of action before the depths of the roster took to the field.
Looking forward to the third week of preseason against the New England Patriots, the roles in the backfield look to be taking shape. McCaffrey has looked impressive running as the starter, taking the majority of carries with Anderson mixed in.
