Christian Kirk Thriving In The Slot
3 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk has been thriving in a full-time role as the team's slot receiver in 2021. Through 13 games, he leads the team in catches (53), receiving yards (718) and trails only DeAndre Hopkins for the most touchdowns on the team. "It's been great," Kirk said. "I feel like I'm getting opportunities to make plays and just fit into the flow of the offense – and just hone into what coach Kingsbury asked me to do and what the offense demands from me." The 25-year-old had only three catches in the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but he recorded 86 yards. Kirk could have a big game in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions, although the Cardinals probably won't need to throw all that much to win comfortably. Kirk's stock is up to close out the year with Hopkins out, and he'll be a WR3/flex with upside this Sunday.
