Christian Kirk Expects Big Things From Jaguars Offense
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk has the goal of helping the Jaguars finish as the No. 1 offense in the NFL. "I think it's challenging, but when you have the right guys in the locker room, a part of your team that are able to come out on a day-to-day basis and push another to hold each other to our standard, I think it's a little easier," he said. The Jaguars ranked No. 9 in scoring last season, a big improvement from their No. 32 finish in 2022. Their offensive boost was driven by a coaching change, improvements in quarterback Trevor Lawrence's play, and the acquisition of Kirk, who, in his first season in Jacksonville set career-highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns, as he went over 1,100 yards. The Jaguars' prospects look even better in 2023 as receiver Calvin Ridley rejoins the team after serving a year-long suspension.
