1 year agoMontreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Wideman has been ruled out indefinitely with a back injury. It's a bad blow for the veteran blue-liner after Wideman featured in only 46 games last season. He had a year to forget, registering zero goals and just six points. Across his entire career, Wideman has been able to notch 78 points (20 goals, 58 assists) in 291 outings. The 33-year-old will be playing for his future in 2023-24 once he's healthy, as he is entering the final year of his contract.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
