Chris Thompson Has Solid PPR Day In Week 1
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson returned to form on Sunday after a rough and ineffective 2018. Thompson saw 10 targets in the passing game, hauling in seven of them for 68 yards. He also added 10 yards on the ground with three carries, but that kind of minimal rushing work is routine for him. Thompson's big day in the pass-catching department helped offset the lack of production from backfield mate Derrius Guice, who averaged fewer than two yards per carry. To see Thompson not only heavily involved in the passing game, but also capitalizing on his opportunities, is a huge boost to his fantasy value. He's a good player to keep an eye on as you browse the waiver wire for Week 2, as this kind of production will play nicely as a flex in PPR formats.
