Chris Streveler Released By Jets
3 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Chris Streveler has been waived by the organization. This is a shame considering Streveler played well during the preseason. The 27-year-old completed 24-of-33 passing attempts for 277 yards with five touchdowns and one interception during the preseason. Sadly, the Jets don't have room on their roster with Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White already there. Streveler is well deserving of a backup spot elsewhere, but he's not expected to have fantasy value.

Chris Streveler Unlikely To Be Active
2 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he's unsure if quarterback Chris Streveler will be called up to the active game-day roster in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks, but The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt would guess that Streveler won't be active. Streveler was called into action last Thursday night when Zach Wilson was benched for the second time this year, and although he didn't lead the Jets to any touchdowns, he looked better than Wilson and provided the offense with a much-needed spark. Mike White (ribs) is returning as the starter this weekend and veteran Joe Flacco will back him up, so Streveler would be the No. 3 QB on the active roster if he's called back up from the practice squad. The Jets continue to say that Wilson remains part of the future, but most folks believe his time in New York is coming to an end.

Chris Streveler Totals 114 Yards Versus Jaguars
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Chris Streveler came in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night in relief for a struggling Zach Wilson in the second half. Streveler sparked the offense just a bit, completed 10 of his 15 passes for 90 yards, and rushed nine times for 54 yards. Ultimately, Streveler won't enter the fantasy radar as there's no guarantee he'd start over Wilson next week if Mike White (ribs) is not back in action.

Zach Wilson Benched In Favor Of Chris Streveler
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was benched near the end of the third quarter on Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wilson looked flat throughout the entire time that he was on the field and made some questionable decisions like throwing into triple coverage. Jets fans let the boos rain down and then Chris Streveler entered the game with a little less than four minutes in the third. Streveler led the Jets on an 83-yard drive which was more than any of the team's previous drives with Wilson.

Chris Streveler Elevated To Active Roster
2 years agoThe New York Jets elevated quarterback Chris Streveler from the practice squad to the active roster for the Thursday night game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, opening the door for a possible package of plays in Week 16. Mike White (ribs) has been ruled out for the second straight week with some broken ribs, so Streveler will give the Jets a little more QB insurance on Thursday night behind second-year man Zach Wilson. To be fair, Wilson threw for over 300 yards last week in the loss to the Detroit Lions in one of the best performances of his young career, but he's mostly been awful in real life and fantasy in 2022. Streveler, 27, has seen action in seven games in the last two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, completing 68 percent of his 25 attempts for 141 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
