Chris Sale Throws Quality Start Wednesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale delivered a quality start against the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out three batters. The only runs came off the bat off Wander Franco, when he knocked a two-run homer in the third inning. Sale has shown little-to-no rust in his first three starts of the season, with a 2.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings. He's poised to offer top-20 starting pitcher fantasy value as a floor the rest of the way, with the potential to make a big impact in the fantasy playoffs.
