Chris Sale Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale has tested positive for COVID-19. He becomes the 10th Red Sox player to do so since August 27th, and the 12th to be placed on the COVID list. He will no longer make his scheduled start on Sunday. This is the second time Sale has tested positive, as he previously disclosed that he had experienced a mild case of the virus in January. He will miss a minimum of 10 days. Nick Pivetta may be able to return from the COVID list and slot into Sale's vacated rotation spot, but if he isn't available, Boston may have to resort to a bullpen game. Fantasy managers should hold Sale on their rosters for now.
