Chris Sale Strikes Out Eight On Wednesday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox ace Chris Sale allowed three runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings of work during the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader. Sale's velocity was down in this appearance, but he said that it was all due to mechanics. He struck out eight batters while walking one. It has been a frustrating season to own Sale in fantasy formats. When healthy, he's been one of the best pitchers in the entire MLB, but his troublesome shoulder has given fantasy managers headaches. Regardless, Sale tallied a 12-4 record to go along with a 2.11 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 237/34 K/BB ratio in 27 starts. He'll get the ball in Game 1 of the ALDS.
