Chris Sale Placed On 15-Day Injured List
1 year agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) was removed early during Thursday's start versus the Cincinnati Reds. The left-hander was taken out in the fourth inning due to left shoulder soreness. He underwent an MRI on Friday which revealed left shoulder inflammation, so the Red Sox will shut down Sale for a few weeks. It's unclear how long Sale is going to be sidelined, which is obviously frustrating. In a corresponding move, Corey Kluber has been activated from the paternity leave list. He figures to move into the starting rotation with Sale sidelined. However, Kluber has been awful thus far, so fantasy managers can continue to avoid him.
