Chris Sale Open To Contract Extension
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale is open to discussing a contract extension with the team. The ace left-hander is scheduled to be a free agent after the 2019 season. Sale has been one of the best pitchers in baseball the last few seasons, but left shoulder inflammation limited him in the second half last year and he has thrown a lot of pitches already in his career. The good news is that the soon-to-be 30-year-old is healthy this spring and is cleared for a normal spring training. Expect the strikeout artist to be limited in spring training as the Red Sox try to preserve his arm for the season. Even with some more injury risk, Sale is the second best fantasy ace behind Max Scherzer.
