Chris Sale Named Opening Day Starter
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale has been named the team's Opening Day starter against the Mariners on March 28. It will be the second straight year that Sale will start on Opening Day for Boston. The 29-year-old left-hander went 12-4 with a 2.11 ERA in 27 starts in 2018, but he missed most of the second half with left shoulder inflammation. Boston purposefully delayed Sale's spring debut in order to give him a better shot at staying healthy all year. He's RotoBaller's No. 2 fantasy starter but comes with some injury risk after all the innings he's piled up the last few years.
