6 years agoThe Boston Red Sox placed starting pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday with left shoulder inflammation. The team is recalling pitcher Brandon Workman from the minors in a corresponding move. Sale is an elite pitcher and fantasy commodity, so this is a big blow. The talented left-hander is a beast on the bump, going 11-4 with a 2.04 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and an astonishing 207 K's in 141 innings. His fantasy owners and the Red Sox will hope he won't have to miss much time.
