Chris Sale Feeling Fine
6 years agoBoston Red Sox general manager Dave Dombrowski said starting pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) is "feeling fine" so far in the offseason and that the team is "comfortable where he is." Sale throwing hard in his first start off the disabled list late in the season was probably too much and contributed to his weak shoulder the rest of the way. Manager Alex Cora and the coaching staff will play it safe with Sale in spring training and early in the year after he missed a good chunk of the second half with his left arm issues. The good news is Sale won't require surgery, but he'll carry a bit of extra risk as a high-end fantasy hurler in 2019 after failing to reach the 200-inning mark for the first time since 2014.
