Chris Paul Notches a Double-Double In Return From Injury
6 years agoHouston Rockets point guard Chris Paul made his return from injury on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Despite the minutes restriction, Paul managed to put up 14 points, 10 assists, five rebounds, and one steal in 28 minutes of action. Paul has been solidly top-25 value this season, but injuries have slowed down his production. He’s already missed five games this year and has a multitude of nagging injuries that could pop up at any time, making him extremely hard to trust. However, when he does make it to the court he’s having a solid season, averaging 17.6 points, 7.8 assists and 2.1 steals-per-game. While he is no longer the Chris Paul of old, he should still be a premier fantasy point guard and with the Rockets slow start they may be forced to play him more than they would like. Paul will look to continue to find a rhythm on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls and their pedestrian defense.
