Chris Paul Enjoys 26-Point Night With Only Three Misses
4 years agoPhoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul was automatic from the field in Thursday's 118-117 win over Portland, shooting 11-for-14 en route to a team-high 26 points. He was 2-for-2 from outside and handed out seven assists with one turnover in 32 minutes. Devin Booker had a tough night with 5-for-17 shooting, so Paul played a big part in the victory, even though it was Booker who made a pair of clutch free throws to lock up the win. The Suns are fighting for the best record in the Western Conference, so expect them to go all out in the final regular-season games over the weekend. Both will be against the Spurs, meaning Paul gets to face a team that boasts the fourth-worst defensive record in the league against opposing point guards.
