Chris Paddack Strikes Out Five In No-Decision
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack had a nice bounce-back night on the hill Saturday versus the Rockies giving up three runs over six frames. He walked one and struck out five in the no-decision, and now holds a 3.26 ERA and 0.93 WHIP through 110.1 IP this season. Paddack's dominant rookie campaign has seen him falter a bit in the second half, holding a 4.50 ERA in five starts since the break, as his workload becomes more of a concern with a month and a half to play. The Padres will cap the youngster's innings at some point, likely somewhere after the 130 innings threshold. Depending on his results until then, the leash could be longer, but owners should keep this in mind down the stretch run.
