Chris Paddack Pitching Like An Ace
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Chris Paddack won his third consecutive decision Monday against the New York Mets after completing 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball. Paddack outdueled Mets ace Jacob deGrom by fanning 11 while allowing just four singles and a walk. Through seven starts, Paddack owns a pristine 1.55 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 30.7 percent strikeout rate. The 23-year-old rookie has been spectacular to start his career, allowing more than two runs just once. Paddack has emerged as the Friars top starter and a bona fide must-start in all fantasy formats. He’s next scheduled to take the rock next Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
