Chris Paddack Being Shopped By Padres
3 years agoThe San Diego Padres are engaging in trade talks surrounding right-handed pitcher Chris Paddack, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale. The Padres are absolutely loaded at starting pitcher, especially after adding starter Sean Manaea this past weekend. Last year, Paddack had a rough time on the mound. Over 23 games (22 starts), he went 7-7 with a 5.07 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. The 26-year-old was one of the team's top pitching prospects back in 2019, when he debuted in the majors and went 9-7 with a 3.33 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP. He could become an interesting fantasy option if he winds up being traded to a favorable pitching environment. However, for now, he can remain undrafted in all fantasy leagues.
