Chris Paddack Begins His Rehab Assignment Wednesday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Chris Paddack (elbow) started a rehab assignment on Wednesday with Single-A Fort Myers. He went 2 2/3 innings, giving up two runs and two walks while striking out four. Paddack hasn't appeared in the big leagues since May of last season after the right-hander underwent the second Tommy John surgery of his career. The club's unsure if the 27-year-old can return before the end of the 2023 campaign, but if he does, he'll pitch out of the pen. Paddack owns a career 4.20 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 24.2% strikeout rate across 65 starts, and fantasy managers can ignore him until the 2024 season.
