1 min agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Chris Murphy (elbow) has thrown two bullpen sessions during spring training. He only threw 10 pitches in his first session but was able to increase it to 15 during his second session. The 26-year-old has only thrown fastballs so far. Murphy is slowly working his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last April. He was unable to pitch at all during the 2024 campaign. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout camp. He is currently targeting to face live batters on April 10. The southpaw made his MLB debut during the 2023 campaign and held a 4.91 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP across 47 2/3 innings. He struck out 49 batters and posted a modest 8.0 percent walk rate. When cleared for action, Murphy should compete for a role in the Boston bullpen.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
