6 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Chris Martin (groin) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday. Taking his place on the roster will be right-hander Ricardo Rodriguez. Pitching primarily out of the bullpen, Martin was having a so-so season before going down with the injury. He had accumulated a 4.32 ERA, but did have a solid 1.28 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched. Rodriguez has not played a single game this season and owns a career 5.24 ERA. Both right-handers should not be owned or played at this point in time.--Mauricio Castillo
