Chris Martin Notches First Save On Sunday
3 years agoAtlanta Braves relief pitcher Chris Martin was called upon to hold a two-run lead in the ninth inning on Sunday. Normally, Will Smith would be asked to close out the game, but had a rough outing on Saturday. Martin allowed one run and two hits, but managed to hold it down and help the Braves get the 5-4 victory. It was his first save of the season, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect many more from him. It would take a few more meltdowns by Smith for him to lose the closer spot. Martin remains only an asset in fantasy formats where holds are important.
