4 years agoAtlanta Braves relief pitcher Chris Martin (shoulder) is expected to begin throwing off a mound within the next couple of days, and the Braves don't expect him to need more than a few side sessions and maybe one simulated game before being activated from the injured list. There's a chance that he could be back in the bullpen in the near future after being sidelined with right shoulder inflammation that caused numbness in his fingers during an April 4 appearance against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 34-year-old right-hander has allowed one earned run while striking out one and walking one in 1 2/3 innings to begin his 2021 season.
